FITNESS YOGA & PILATES​
Fitness Yoga and Fitness Pilates use the physical postures and breathing techniques of traditional Yoga and Pilates to offer a challenging, healing and calming mind/body workout.

My underpinning knowledge of the structural make-up of our bodies and my holistic training feed in to all that I do. My aim is to run a class that is safe, effective, varying, enjoyable and leaves you with a greater sense of well-being.

Fitness Yoga is centred around up to date anatomical and physiological fitness principles, using the physical postures and breathing techniques of traditional Yoga.
I use music in my classes to guide us through flowing sequences to help immerse us in the moment. We move mindfully and quietly and include varying breath work in the class. We generally finish with specific relaxation/meditation techniques. There no spiritual or religious content to this style of Yoga.

My style of teaching is to guide individuals through their own capabilities within the group, recognising that each of us have our own strengths, weaknesses and limitations. My aim, as ever, is to help you understand your own body better, in order for you to move more effectively, efficiently and safely. ​

Taking part in these classes, you can expect to improve muscular strength, tone, control and flexibility, and joint integrity and mobility. Expect as a result an improvement in your posture, self-awareness and confidence. You will learn techniques that should help you to better manage your own emotions and stress levels.
The addition of Yoga to your life at any age and fitness level can play a huge part in maintaining and progressing a level of physical and mental health less prone to pain, stress, injury, anxiety and fatigue.
